UNILAG Alumni mourns Ogun monarch, Oba Joseph Odetola

Greatest Akokites,

We regret to announce the sudden and painful death of Alayeluwa Oba Joseph Ayinde Odetola, the Alagodo of Agodo in Ewekoro Local Government Area, Ogun State.

Just last week, Oba Odetola and his course mates in the Distance Learning Institute of University of Lagos joined other Akokites at the 2020 Convocation ceremonies where he was all joy and adorned in his convocation regalia.

On behalf of the President (Worldwide), Dr. John Momoh, OON, NPOM, and the National Executive Committee, we call on the Inspector General of Police to order a fullscale investigation into this gruesome murder of our own and bring all the perpetrators to book. This is unacceptable! This is despicable! This is preposterous! This is absurd!

Fellow Akokites, an injury to one is an injury to all. I would love us all, on our various social media platforms, to bring the attention of the world to this anomaly by using the hashtag #JusticeForObaOdetola.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
