Unilag Alumnus, Prof. David Oke emerges provost-elect at College of Medicine
January 11, 2021The National Secretariat, in company of the Publicity Secretary of the Alumni Association today visited the family of our dear former Vice Chancellor, Late Professor Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe, OFR, FAS, FAEng.
The delegation which was led by the National Secretary, Chief Adebisi Ogundipe, who also doubled as representative of the National President (Worldwide), Dr. John Momoh, OON, was at the Ibidapo-Obes on a condolence visit to the family over the passing of the Distinguished Akokite, who in his life time was instrumental to a number of developments in the association, prominent of which was facilitating the ongoing Zenith Bank/Alumni building.
Chief Adebisi Ogundipe expressed the shock of the entire Alumni body upon hearing the sad news of the demise of the academic Colossus, adding that Dr. Momoh who was unavoidably absent is particularly deeply downcast, knowing that the iconic Professor was one great pillar to his administration.
He said the Association will be solidly behind the family in making sure that Prof. Ibidapo-Obe gets a befitting burial.
In his response Mr. Bambo Ibidapo-Obe, son of Prof. Ibidapo-Obe, thanked the delegation and promised to keep the association informed on developments leading up to his burial.
