UNIVERSITY of Lagos Alumni, Lagos Branch has identified with one of her members, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire Ministries, over his outstanding contributions to Nigeria and to humanity in general. Speaking after a courtesy visit of Unilag Alumni Lagos Branch Executives to Olukoya, the Chairman University of Lagos Alumni Lagos Branch and Associate Professor, Department of Geophysics, Dr. Lukumon Adeoti, told reporters the association is very proud of Olukoya’s contributions to the education and sports sectors in Nigeria.

According to Adeoti, “the Association is delighted to identify with Dr. Olukoya as an Alumnus of University of Lagos, and as a member of the Lagos state branch considering the fact he is resident in Lagos. He has been a distinguished alumnus, a shining light and blessings to this generation particularly in the areas of spiritual growth and human development. “His Ministry, Mountain of Fire, has impacted lives with her teaching focus on spiritual warfare, deliverance, fasting, prayer, holiness and excellence. Many have testified that through his ministry, God has delivered them from the shackles of the devil. This generation has been blessed with his deep teachings that emphasize on leading a righteous life and fostering a deeper relationship with God. In the area of human development, he has set a pace in education, sports and human development. His support to academic excellence among young people has been encouraging. It is a known fact that he supports students who strive for academic excellence with material support like scholarships, cars and monetary gifts. “This feat in the education sector is also very conspicuous in the sports sector where he has made significant contributions to the development of sports in Nigeria. On a general note, he has a very positive disposition towards motivating young ones to unleash their potential. “To come home, he has assisted our Alma Mater significantly. His monumental contribution of a state of the art laboratory is a legacy and this has helped our student researchers in an unquantifiable way. Every time University of Lagos beckons on him, he is always there to help through his lectures, prayers and financial support. Vanguard Learning also gathered that the Dr. Olukoya pledged to support the association with a bus during the courtesy visit. He believes the bus has become a necessity and a dire need in view of the numerous activities Unilag Alumni Lagos Branch are embarking on and the inconvenience and high cost of using public buses.
